Whoopi Goldberg returning to Sister Act
Whoopi Goldberg will return to the West End to play Mother Superior in Sister Act in October after cutting short her summer run.
Goldberg, who left the musical after learning that her mother had fallen ill in the US, will star in five shows between October 22 and October 25 at the London Palladium. Goldberg also produces the musical with Stage Entertainment.
People who booked for the August dates in which Goldberg did not perform will have a priority booking period in which they can re-book for the October shows. Those patrons have until 9am on September 9 to book.
Sally Dexter is currently playing Mother Superior and will continue until the show closes at the Palladium on October 30.
