Assembly reports record-breaking year at the Fringe

Edinburgh’s Assembly venues have reported a 15.8% increase in sales on last year for their 30th year at the fringe.

The group, which used new site Assembly at Princes St Gardens this year as well as the Assembly Rooms and Assembly Hall, said that it had sold 290,000 tickets for 139 shows across the festival.

Two shows at Assembly won Stage Awards for Acting Excellence – Scott Kyle picked up the gong for best actor for his performance in Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim and the actors in Do We Look Like Refugees?! won Best Ensemble.
