Ruthie Henshall to star in Blithe Spirit

Ruthie Henshall is to star in Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit, which opens at Theatre Royal Bath later this year before touring and then transferring to the West End.

Olivier award-winner Henshall, who originated the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago in the West End, will play Elvira and join Alison Steadman, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst.

The production, which plays the Theatre Royal Bath from November 3 to 13, will be directed by Thea Sharrock. It opens at London’s Apollo Theatre on March 2, 2011.
