Von Ribbentrop’s Watch, the new show by Dreamboats and Petticoats writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, is to premiere at Oxford Playhouse.

The play will be staged by Oxford Playhouse Productions in association with Watford Palace Theatre and, after opening in Oxford on September 9, will tour to Watford, Richmond Theatre and Salisbury Playhouse.

Von Ribbentrop’s Watch is about a wine merchant in the credit crunch who discovers the watch of Nazi foreign minister Joachim von Ribbentrop among his possessions.

As well as Dreamboats and Petticoats, Marks and Gran created the TV sitcom Birds of a Feather and Goodnight Sweetheart, which they are currently developing into a musical. They are also adapting Joan Bakewell’s first novel All the Nice Girls for TV.
