Fiona Gasper appointed executive director of Manchester’s Royal Exchange

Published Thursday 1 July 2010 at 14:32 by Natalie Woolman

Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre has appointed Fiona Gasper as its new executive director.

Gasper, who was executive producer for Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture programme in 2008, will replace Paul Clay, who has been in post for the last three years.

Gasper is due to join the venue on July 19. She said she was excited to join a venue that is “thriving across all areas of its work”.

Most recently, Gasper has been working freelance in Manchester. She was awarded an MBE for services to the arts last year.
