Edinburgh fringe agrees sponsorship deal with Deuchers IPA

The Edinburgh Fringe has brokered a new sponsorship deal with Deuchars IPA, which will see the Edinburgh-brewed ale branded across Fringe venue boards for the next three years.

Announcing the deal at the Caledonian Brewery, where the beer is brewed, Festival Fringe Society chief executive Kath M Mainland pointed to the benefits of two internationally-recognised Edinburgh brands supporting each other.

Declaring herself “thrilled” by the new boards, Mainland said: “In 2009, the fringe inhabited more than 265 venues all over the city and the Deuchars Venue Boards will help audiences to find their way about this great festival. We’re excited that this new major sponsor of the festival is an Edinburgh based company and look forward to developing the relationship and moving forward over the next three festivals.”

Besides the venue-boards, which are displayed prominently outside all buildings that become part of the fringe, Deuchars is sponsoring the fringe’s venue map, which appears in the official fringe programme. The Caledonia Brewery will also become a fringe venue - number 268 ‚Äì and host its own programme of events during the August event.

The full Edinburgh fringe programme is announced on Thursday June 10, with tickets going on sale Friday June 11 at 8am. The Edinburgh Fringe 2010 runs from Friday August 6 to Monday August 30.
