Wayne McGregor’s Random Dance, English National Ballet and Russell Maliphant have created five new works to be performed in the West End in honour of the centenary of the Ballets Russes.

The five new pieces will be performed at Ballet Russes Encounters, and have been created for community groups, including the Company of Elders and Tiffin Boys Youth Dance Company.

The performance will take place at the Peacock Theatre on March 29.

Meanwhile, English National Ballet will perform David Dawson’s Faun(e), shown last year as part of the Ballet Russes season, while Maliphant’s Afterlight will be staged and McGregor’s Random Dance will show Ossein.

The event will showcase more than 100 dancers aged between 13 and 90.
