David Jason will go head to head with David Tennant, Philip Glenister and David Threlfall in the best drama performance category of this year’s National Television Awards.

Jason is nominated for A Touch of Frost, while Threlfall is up for his work on Shameless.
Meanwhile, Glenister has been nominated for his performances in both Ashes to Ashes and Demons, and Tennant has received his nod for Doctor Who.
In the best comedy programme section, Benidorm, Gavin and Stacey, Harry Hill’s TV Burp and The Inbetweeners have all been nominated, while Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Big Brother and The Paul O’Grady Show are all up in the entertainment programme category.
Elsewhere, Casualty, Doctor Who, Shameless and The Bill are nominated for the best drama award, and Britain’s Got Talent, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor will battle it out for the title of best talent show.
Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks will compete in category for best serial drama, with actors Gray O’Brien, Katherine Kelly, Lacey Turner and Simon Gregson have all been nominated for their performances in a serial drama.
The National Television Awards, hosted by Dermot O’Leary, will be broadcast on ITV on January 20.
