The Woman in Black is to launch its tenth UK tour in 2010, as the play celebrates 21 years in the West End.
The tour will open at Richmond Theatre on January 12 and will visit around 25 venues across the country until July 17.
Having premiered at the Theatre-By-The-Sea in Scarborough in 1987, the show opened in the West End in 1989. It has since taken productions to the US, South America and Tokyo having spread to the United States, South America and Tokyo. It has now been seen by more than 7 million people.
The tour will star Robert Demeger as Arthur Kipps, a role he has played both in the West End and previously on tour. He is joined by Peter Bramhill who will perform the role of the Young Actor.
The production is directed by Robin Herford, with designs by Michael Holt and lighting by Kevin Sleep. It is produced by PW Productions Ltd. The UK tour will run concurrently with the West End production.
