It co-starred Patricia Hodge and Sally Phillips.

Hart broke the news of the second series on her Twiiter account, saying she was pleased to announce the BBC has said “yes to a second series for next year”.

Miranda, which aired at 8.30pm on Monday nights, averaged 2.52m viewers over its first five episodes.
