An ensemble member in Trevor Nunn’s current production of Inherit the Wind at the Old Vic, Julian was hospitalised after hitting his head in a fall and suffering internal bleeding, but never recovered. Doctors at St George’s Hospital, Tooting switched off the 45-year-old’s life support on the morning of Wednesday December 9.

A coal miner and qualified chef, Julian trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, and began his professional career in 2001. He had recently toured with both the Northern and Young Shakespeare companies and regularly performed with the Principal Theatre Company.
