John Barrowman to star in 2010 panto at 3,000-seat Glasgow SECC

John Barrowman is to star in the UK’s biggest pantomime next year at the 3,000-seat SECC’s Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow.

John Barrowman is to appear in Glasgow's 2010 Aladdin

Aladdin, which is to be produced by Qdos Entertainment, will mark a homecoming for Barrowman, whose family is from Glasgow.

“I’m really looking forward to spending the holidays singing, dancing and having a good laugh in Glasgow next year!” said Barrowman. “I love playing Aladdin and I think audiences will love everything about this amazing pantomime, especially the amazing 3D effects.”

The show will run from December 10, 2010 until January 9 and will be the be the UK’s biggest capacity pantomime.

“We are delighted to be bringing John and our superb production of Aladdin to Glasgow’s SECC,” added Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Entertainment’s pantomime division. “John has smashed box office records wherever he has played in pantomime and I have no doubt that we will break even more records in Glasgow and stage an unmissable pantomime experience.”
