Toby Stephens to star in Old Vic revival of Stoppard’s The Real Thing

Toby Stephens is to star in a revival of Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing at London’s Old Vic in April next year.

The production, which is to be directed by Anna Mackmin, will preview from April 10, with press night on April 21, 2010. The show will run until June 5, 2010. Further casting is yet to be announced.

Mackmin’s last production at the Old Vic was her revival of Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa.

The Real Thing was last staged in the West End in 2000, when the Donmar Warehouse revived the play with Stephen Dillane and Jennifer Ehle in the lead roles of Henry and Annie.
