Young performer Dean-Charles Chapman is to return to the stage in Billy Elliot the Musical, which has also extended its run to December 18, 2010.
Later this month, 12-year-old Chapman will join the London cast of Billy Elliot in the title role. At the age of seven, he played Small Boy and last year came back to play Billy’s best friend Michael.
He said: “My name is Dean and I will play Billy Elliot. I am 12-years-old and I live in Essex with my mum and dad and my two sisters. I have been training for Billy for two years now and I am really excited about my first performance.
“I am going to dedicate my first performance as Billy to all those who have helped me along the way and Collin’s Performing Arts School where I studied dance and drama.
Since its world premiere fours years ago, the award-winning show has played to more than 4 million people across the world. In March, the musical will celebrate its fifth birthday at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
