Calendar Girls to go back on the road with Bellingham, Atkinson and Dean

Calendar Girls, Tim Firth’s play based on the 2003 film, is to embark on a second UK tour following its run in the West End.

The production, which originally toured before coming into London’s Noel Coward Theatre, will begin its second tour on January 25, 2010 at the Chichester Festival Theatre before visiting The Lowry, Birmingham Hippodrome, Southend Cliffs Pavilion, Leeds Grand, Milton Keynes Theatre, Theatre Royal Newcastle and the Sheffield Lyceum.

It will star Lynda Bellingham, Jan Harvey, Letitia Dean, Gemma Atkinson, Debbie Chazen, Judith Barker, Kathryn Rooney and Michael Peluso, the son of Bellingham, who will be making his stage debut.

Calendar Girls is produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers and directed by Hamish McColl.

A final date for the West End run of Calendar Girls is due to be announced shortly.
