Sadler’s Wells to preview shows with cinema-style trailers

Published Tuesday 13 October 2009 at 16:46 by Lalayn Baluch

Sadler’s Wells is to launch cinema style trailers before its shows at the Peacock Theatre.

The trailers will highlight forthcoming productions at both the Peacock and the Sadler’s Wells main house, including Jump, Christmas show The Snowman and Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake.

Sadler’s Wells director of marketing and communications Kingsley Jayasekera said: “At Sadler’s Wells we’re always looking for new ways to tell our audiences about what we have coming up. Cinemas do this very effectively to flag up forthcoming film releases, so why shouldn’t theatre?

“Added to that, the dance video clips on sadlerswells.com and our YouTube channel have proved incredibly popular, so we’re excited to be able to present them in a different format, which should keep audience members entertained while they wait for a show to start.”

The trailers will be launched at the Peacock Theatre from this evening.
