Michael Attenborough is to direct Rory Kinnear, Anna Maxwell Martin and Ben Miles in a new production of Measure for Measure at the Almeida Theatre next year.

The show will preview at the Islington theatre from February 11, and run until April 10.

Kinnear will take on the role of Angelo. He was most recently seen in the National Theatre’s production of Burnt by the Sun, The Revenger’s Tragedy, and Southwark Fair. He picked up the Ian Charleson Award and the Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role for his appearance in the NT’s Man of Mode.

Bafta Award-winning actress Maxwell Martin, who most recently appeared in The Female of the Species at the Vaudeville Theatre, will play the part of Isabelle.

Ben Miles, who was last seen on stage in Matthew Warchus’ production of the Norman Conquests both at the Old Vic and on Broadway, has been cast as Duke Vincentio.

Measure for Measure will feature designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by David Hersey, music by Stephen Warbeck, sound by John Leonard and movement by Imogen Knight. Booking will open on November 12.
