Sales of Theatre Tokens up 14%
Sales figures for Theatre Tokens in the first four months of this year are 14% higher than they were in 2008.
Theatre Tokens, originally launched in 1984, are vouchers which come in £5, £10 or £20 denominations that can be exchanged for theatre tickets at more than 230 theatres nationwide.
Helen Jones from theatretokens.com said: “During recessions it’s common for people to want some form of escapism and we are definitely seeing an uplift in sales of our theatre voucher product perhaps as a result of this.”
