CBBC has commissioned a new sitcom based on the Lulu Baker series of books by Fiona Dunbar.
Jinx is a 13-part series being produced by Kindle Entertainment, which focuses on a teenager called Lulu and a magic cookbook she owns.
It will be filmed this month in Manchester, as part of the BBC’s commitment to increasing production in the regions, and is executive produced by Sue Nott for the BBC, and Melanie Stokes for Kindle.
The comedy drama was commissioned by CBBC controller Anne Gilchrist, who said the commission underlined “CBBC’s continuing commitment to original British content”.
