Mathew Horne collapses on stage

Mathew Horne will decide today whether to continue with West End show Entertaining Mr Sloane, after collapsing on stage yesterday from apparent exhaustion.

The Gavin and Stacey star fell to the floor 15 minutes into the second half of yesterday’s matinee at the Trafalgar Studios. Later that day co-star Imelda Staunton also pulled out of the show after becoming unwell.

Horne was treated onstage, before audience members were asked to leave the auditorium. It is understood that he was later taken to hospital, but was released shortly afterwards. He was replaced in the evening performance of the show by understudy Fergus March.

A decision is expected later today about whether Horne will continue his appearance in the show.

Horne recently starred in film Lesbian Vampire Killers with comic partner James Corden. The duo also have a BBC3 sketch show called Horne and Corden, which has received mixed reviews.
