BBC3 drama Being Human is to return for a second eight-part series, after its first outing proved to be a ratings winner for the channel.
It will once again be written by Toby Whithouse, who created Channel 4's No Angels, and made by independent company Touchpaper Television.
The show's first series, about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost who share a flat, concludes this weekend.
Starring Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow and Aidan Turner, the series has achieved audiences of more than one million viewers, with its first two episodes being the most watched programmes on the BBC iPlayer in the weeks they were shown.
BBC3 controller Danny Cohen said: "I'm thrilled that we are recommissioning Being Human. It's hugely popular with young viewers and earned great critical acclaim at the same time. It's also a very important staging-post in the successful development of home-grown young drama on BBC Three."
