Rafe Spall and Tom Hollander are to star in the BBC’s forthcoming drama Desperate Romantics, which is being penned by Blackpool writer Peter Bowker.
The actors will join Being Human’s Aidan Turner, Survivors’ Zoe Tapper and The History Boys’ Samuel Barnett in the production, which is being made by the BBC for BBC2.
Set in 19th-century industrial London, the drama focuses on a group of English painters, poets and critics called the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
The series is being produced by Ben Evans and will be broadcast later this year.
