Harrison to direct Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens

Former Almeida Theatre associate director Ben Harrison is to direct a new production of Peter Pan, which will be performed in Kensington Gardens this summer.

As exclusively revealed in The Stage in March 2007, the show is based on JM Barrie’s 1906 book, Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens.

The production, adapted by Tanya Rodner and designed by multi-Olivier award winner William Dudley, will be presented in a specially designed rainproof theatre tent, which will seat 1,100 people, and will include a bar, restaurant and picnic facilities.

Peter Pan will run from May 26 until August 30. It will be produced by Charlie Burnell and Matt Churchill, with support from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Samuel French Ltd.
