BBC1’s Merlin gets second series
BBC1’s Saturday night family show Merlin has been recommissioned for a second series.
Made by Shine Television, the show stars Colin Morgan, Bradley James, Anthony Head and Richard Wilson. The second series will begin filming next year on location in Wales and France.
BBC Wales head of drama Julie Gardner said the first series of the show had “performed outstandingly well”.
“The cast have entertained and enchanted a whole new generation with this fresh and modern retelling of a classic British legend,” she added.
