Frost to make stage return in one-woman show

Published Friday 21 November 2008 at 15:40 by Charlotte Ellis

Sadie Frost is to return to the stage following a 24-year break to star in a one-woman show at London’s Trafalgar Studios.

Running from February 4, Touched… for the Very First Time follows the story of Lesley, who, from the moment she first hears Like a Virgin at the age of 14, is inspired to become a modern woman and to be best friends with Madonna.

It has been written by Zoe Lewis and the production will be directed by Douglas Rintoul.

Frost said: “It is rare that such a brilliantly written piece comes along that is modern, entertaining and totally captures a character and a time.”

The actress, best known for her on-screen work, has only appeared on stage once before - in a production called Mumbo Jumbo at the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre, which was directed by Nicholas Hytner.

Touched will run from February 4 to March 14, 2009.
