Decibel Performing Arts Showcase seeks ‘cutting-edge’ artists
Arts Council England is calling on artists to take part in the fourth biennial Decibel Performing Arts Showcase, which will take place in Manchester from September 15 to 18, 2009.
The event aims to showcase the country’s culturally diverse performing arts talent to international arts professionals, including promoters, artistic directors and producers.
Nike Jonah, Decibel Performing Arts Showcase project manager, said: “We’re looking for cutting-edge artists to get involved in Showcase 2009. Showcase creates new relationships which are essential for the development of England’s vibrant and dynamic performing arts scene, there’s no other event like it in the world.”
Artists and companies involved in music, theatre, dance, live art, circus, street arts and site work are invited to submit applications by January 21. A number of artists’ information sessions will be taking place across England to help showcase applicants put together their applications.
