Ross to resume Radio 2 show on January 24

Jonathan Ross will resume his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday January 24, the Corporation has confirmed.

Ross is currently suspended from the BBC for three months for the part he played in lewd messages left on the answer phone of actor Andrew Sachs, which were broadcast on Russell Brand’s Radio 2 show.

Confirmation of Ross’ return comes despite the fact findings of a BBC management review into the incident concerning Sachs have yet to be released.

The BBC Trust is due to discuss the review next week and make a response shortly after.

In a statement today, the BBC announced Zoe Ball and Danny Baker will co-present four Saturday morning shows in place of Ross on BBC Radio 2 between 10am and 1pm, from November 22 to December 13.

It added that further announcements will be made regarding presenters for the rest of the slot, and about what will replace Brand’s Saturday night show following his resignation from the station, in “due course”.
