Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group has overhauled its website to include a new social networking section where theatre fans can have their own show-themed profile pages.
The section, called Backstage, allows users to post reviews and blogs and access audio and video content, as well as breaking news and features.
The redesigned website at www.reallyuseful.com also offers audio-visual content highlighting each of Lloyd Webber’s shows and allows theatregoers to manage every aspect of their visit to a Really Useful Group theatre. This includes booking tickets, buying show merchandise and pre-ordering interval drinks.
In addition, the site features a new digital download store allowing fans to access hand-selected recordings and an exclusive monthly podcast, which will feature exclusive interviews with artists Lloyd Webber and the Really Useful Group have collaborated with over the past 40 years.
Douglas Glen, head of digital strategy at The Really Useful Group, said “The new website is the definitive online destination for fans of Andrew Lloyd Webber and musical theatre. We also hope it will quickly become the industry-leading services platform for our existing customers and international partners”.
A new section of the site also offers customers information on theatres owned by The Really Useful Group, including performance times, travel directions and accessibility information.
