Hugh Whitemore’s play My Darling Clemmie - telling the story of Winston Churchill’s wife Clementine - is set to be presented at the New Wimbledon Theatre Studio from November 18 to 22.

Directed by Gareth Armstrong and starring Rohan McCullough, the show played at the Chester Literary Festival, Ellen Terry Theatre in Kent, and the Tower in Winchester earlier this year.

In 2009, the production will travel to King’s Lynn, Thornbury, Alnwick, Somerton and Rotherham.

Whitemore is a stage, TV and film writer. He won an Emmy and a Broadcasting Press Guild award for his TV film Gathering Storm, which featured Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave.

McCullough has appeared in productions for the Manchester Royal Exchange, Royal Shakespeare Company and the Swan in Stratford.
