Girl with a Pearl Earring is to become the second production in a row to close early at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, after it was announced that it would end its run two weeks earlier than planned on October 18.

The production opened on September 29, following previews from September 24 and had originally been due to play until November 1.

The show was brought in to the venue after the musical Marguerite was itself forced to close two months early, with producers blaming the UK’s current economic climate.

Coming next at the Theatre Royal will be Treasure Island starring Keith Allen, which will run from November 7.
