The show is a love story set in 1942 Poland, and tells the story of a group of actors in a Warsaw ghetto.

Polycarpou, who will play Daniel Warshowsky, has previously appeared in All About My Mother at the Old Vic, had the title role in The Phantom of The Opera, and played Chris Theodopolopoudos in television series Birds of A Feather. He also starred alongside Madonna in the film version of Evita.

Leila Benn-Harris will play Polycarpou’s daughter Rebecca, whose recent credits include Christine in Phantom of the Opera, and roles in Fame and Evita. Her love interest Adam will be played by Simon Gleeson, who has just finished filming My Life In Ruins with Richard Dreyfuss, which is due to be released in 2009.

Imagine This will be directed by Timothy Sheader, with music by Shuki Levy, lyrics by David Goldsmith and book by Glenn Berenbeim.

It will be produced in London by Beth Trachtenberg, Anita Mann, Leigh Mason, Jean Mason, FineFish Entertainment and ICW Productions in association with Theatre Royal Plymouth.
