MacCorkindale to appear in West End’s Sound of Music

Simon MacCorkindale, best known for his role as Harry Harper in the TV series Casualty, is to join the cast of the West End revival of The Sound of Music, playing Captain Von Trapp.

He will star alongside Summer Strallen as Maria from August 25. The show will continue to feature Margaret Preece as Mother Abbess, Fiona Sinnott as The Baroness and Paul Grunert as Max. Rebecca Lucie and Nadim Naaman will take over the roles of Liesl and Rolf on August 25.

The production is booking until February 28, 2009.
