Old Vic reveals full cast for Norman Conquests revival

Published Thursday 17 July 2008 at 16:40 by Alistair Smith

Full casting has been announced for the Old Vic’s revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s trilogy The Norman Conquests this September.

Ben Miles and Amanda Root will join the already announced Amelia Bullmore, Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson), Stephen Mangan and Paul Ritter.

The Old Vic will transform into a theatre in the round for the production, which will be directed by Matthew Warchus. He said: “I have always been excited by the magical effect that ‘in the round’ has on audiences, performers and design. Seeing Ayckbourn performed in this setting, compared to a conventional proscenium arch, can, I think, be revelatory.”

The three plays - Table Manners, Living Together and Round and Round the Garden - will run from September 11 to December 20.
