Sadler’s Wells to offer £10 tickets

Dance venue Sadler’s Wells is set to launch a new £10 ticket scheme this autumn, designed to encourage audiences to see the work of international choreographers who are new to the UK.

The first company on offer as part of the Sadler’s Wells Debut initiative will be Emanuel Gat Dance, who will present Winter Voyage, Through the Centre and the UK premiere of Silent Ballet on September 19-20.

All tickets for the shows will be offered at the reduced price. The venue will also continue to offer 150 tickets for all main house production at £10.

Other highlights from the autumn season include Matthew Bourne’s Dorian Gray, and three programmes by award-winning transatlantic group Morphoses / The Wheeldon Company.

Meanwhile, the Mariinsky Ballet will launch Focus on Forsythe 08/09. This retrospective series charting the work of prolific choreographer William Forsythe will continue into April next year.
