Derby Hippodrome’s fate will be announced this Friday, after the judge in the High Court case decided to reserve his judgement on whether the building needed to be demolished in the interests of public safety.
Derby City Council had gone to the court seeking an injunction against the building’s owner Christopher Anthony to prevent him from undertaking work on the historic, Grade II-listed building, which they claimed could lead to its total destruction.
Following the conclusion of the case yesterday, a ruling is now expected from Mr Justice Wyn Williams on Friday morning.
