Ryan and Maguire to star in Mr Eleven for ITV1

Former EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan is to return to UK screens in an ITV1 comedy drama called Mr Eleven.

Ryan left EastEnders in 2005 and has been primarily working in the US on the remake of Bionic Woman. In the new two-part show for ITV, which is being made by Tiger Aspect, she will play a school teacher involved in a love triangle with Sean Maguire and Adam Garcia.

The drama, written by Amanda Coe, will also feature Lynda Bellingham, Olivia Coleman, Preeya Kalidas and Denis Lawson.

ITV commissioning executive Victoria Fea said: “Not only is this a colourful, contemporary romantic comedy by the fantastic Amanda Coe, but it is also a perfect opportunity to entice two of our most exciting young Hollywood converts to return to our screens in a classically British love story, supported, of course, by a stellar cast of favourite TV faces.”
