Comedians Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller have formed their own production company which will specialise in comedy and drama.

Called Toff Media, the company is a joint venture with Hat Trick Productions, which makes the pair’s BBC1 show, The Armstrong and Miller Show.

The new series of the comedy series, which goes into production in the autumn, will be the first show to be made under the Toff and Hat Trick banner.

Hat Trick managing director Jimmy Mulville said: “Besides being one of the country’s best comedy duos, Ben and Xander are committed to grow a raft of distinctive shows with other writing and performing talent.”

Armstrong and Miller’s Toff Media will be based in Hat Trick’s Soho offices.
