Arts Council Wales chief executive Tyndall resigns

Published Wednesday 12 March 2008 at 16:40 by Lalayn Baluch

Arts Council Wales chief executive Peter Tyndall has announced his resignation after six years in the role.

A regional newspaper has reported that Tyndall will take up a new job as a public services ombudsman for Wales next month.

According to the Western Mail, ACW chairman Dai Smith commented: “It is no exaggeration to say that since his appointment as chief executive six years ago, Peter has brought his managerial competence and his leadership skills to bear on the difficulties then facing [the arts] council and has guided the organisation into a position of strength and independent trust.”
