Professor and agent join English Language National Theatre for Wales board

Arts Council Wales has announced the board of trustees for the new English Language National Theatre for Wales, which includes an Equity official, a theatrical agent and an arts manager.

Working alongside Phil George, who was appointed as chairman of the organisation last December, will be Equity national organiser for Wales, Chris Ryde, University of Glamorgan professor of theatre, film and television, Steve Blandford and theatrical agent for Emptage Hallett Talent, Gemma McAvoy. Judi Richards, currently arts manager at Cardiff Council will also be on the board.

The other members to have been announced are Jon Gower, Richard Hogger, Deborah Martell Powell and Peter Stead. The board will be responsible for developing the ethos and structure of the new company.
