Brand, McGowan and McAuliffe to guest star in West End Gilbert and Sullivan operettas

Three of Gilbert and Sullivan’s popular operetta - The Mikado, Iolanthe and The Pirates of Penzance - will return to the West End from January 30 at the Gielgud Theatre.

Presented by the Carl Rosa Opera company, The Mikado will feature special guest performances by Nichola McAuliffe and Alistair McGowan. Jo Brand will perform The Sergeant of Police in The Pirates of Penzance.

The productions are directed and designed by Peter Mulloy with choreography by David Furnell and music conducted by Martin Handley for The Mikado. Steve Elias choreographs for Iolanthe and The Pirates of Penzance while Richard Balcombe conducts the music for both productions.
