Kenneth Cranham, Danny Dyer and Helen McCrory will be among some of the names appearing in the Almeida Theatre’s new season, which will also see the venue’s first family show running next Christmas.

The venue’s artistic director Michael Attenborough is set to direct Pinter’s The Homecoming, with a cast including Cranham, Neil Dudgeon, Dyer, Jenny Jules, Nigel Lindsay and Anthony O’Donnell. The show will open on January 31 and run until March 22.

Playwright Adly Guirgis’ The Last Days of Judas Iscariot will receive its European premiere in a co-production by Headlong Theatre and the Almeida. The play, which will be staged at the venue from March 28 and close on May 10, is to be directed by artistic director of Headlong, Rupert Goold. The show’s cast is yet to be announced.

From May 15 until July 5, Paul Hilton, McCrory and Malcolm Sinclair will lead the cast of Ibsen’s Rosmersholm. The new version of the play adapted by Mike Poulton, will be directed by Anthony Page, with set design by Hildegard Bechtler.

Meanwhile, the new season will also include the Almeida’s first family show Marianne Dream, by Will Tuckett and Moira Buffini. Originally a novel by Catherine Storr, the production will play from December 14 until January 26. The cast includes Mark Arends, Selina Chilton, Siubhan Harrison, Jack James and Sarah Malin, with some performances by Sarah Boulton.
