The series, called Sold, is being made by Touchpaper Television and stars Kris Marshall and Bryan Dick as employees of Colubrines Estate Agents.

Dick plays Danny, who goes out of his way to help buyers secure their dream homes. He has to work alongside money mad Matt, played by Marshall, and office bitch Mel, played by Christina Cole.

Sold’s lead writer is Steve Coombes, who has previously penned scripts for Hustle and New Tricks.

ITV director of drama Laura Mackie said: “This is a colourful, witty and perceptive workplace drama with a contemporary twist. Steve Coombes’ scripts combine great warmth and wicked black humour and he has created a fantastic group of characters the audience should love and hate in equal measure.”

Filming begins this summer and the series will go out later this year.
