CDET’s Recognised School Status logo unveiled

Dance and musical theatre schools will soon be displaying the Council for Dance Education and Training’s Recognised School Status logo, unveiled this week as part of the Stage-supported drive to set standards for training in the sector.

The benchmark scheme, which also has the backing of the Dancing Times, was launched this month and requires pre and non-vocational schools to sign up to basic health and safety requirements.

CDET director Sean Williams said: “We very much hope to see all schools that take their commitment to the public seriously committing to the mark to demonstrate that they adhere to proper standards.”
