Bodies star Beesley to play ITV1 love rat

Max Beesley is to star in a new ITV1 drama about a love rat DJ chasing his best friend’s fiance.

The Bodies and Hotel Babylon star plays Mitch Moore, a DJ hosting a late-night phone-in on a London radio station, who beds a string of women before falling for his mate’s wife to be.

Emma Pierson, Kate Ashfield and Adrian Bower also star in the four-part series entitled Is This Love? to be broadcast later this year.

The show is being made by Company Pictures, the independent production house behind Shameless and Wild At Heart.

Laura Mackie, controller of ITV drama commissioning said: “Is This Love? is a modern tale of temptation and forbidden love. Writer Daniel Brocklehurst has crafted a compelling script with plot twists and turns every step of the way. This story certainly provides an alternative look at relationships and will no doubt leave the audience questioning the true meaning of love.”
