Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is flying to London to record a US version of the Bafta award-winning ITV1 comedy series The Sketch Show.
Following the success of the programme in the UK, independent company Avalon Television for the first time is to film a pilot directly for the Fox Network. The new show is entitled American Sketch Show.
Emmy award-winner Grammer, who recently filmed the final series of Frasier, will make a guest appearance alongside permanent cast members, including British comedian and star of the original show Lee Mack.
American newcomers joining Mack include Sopranos star Malcolm Barrett, Katie Olson who has appeared in HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, 24 actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and Paul F. Tompkins from Real Time with Bill Maher.
