Suzanne Wilde has been named director of talent accounting for BBC Worldwide, charged with heading and developing payment schemes for artists, contributors and independent producers.

Wilde will report to director of business affairs Sarah Cooper and will devise and direct strategies for the division, which looks after the finances of more than 80,000 people across the media and entertainment sector.

Previously a controller of rights and business process management at Granada Media, she went on to set up a rights and music consultancy, Wilde Media, in 2004.

Cooper said: “We are delighted to have Suzanne’s considerable expertise on board. Her outstanding track record in developing talent payment schemes at Granada, and most recently at Pact, coupled with her extensive knowledge of rights, union agreements and experience of working within the Independent community make her an ideal choice for BBC Worldwide.”
