Miami Vice actor Don Johnson will make his West End debut starring in the musical Guys and Dolls next year.
The Hollywood actor will join the cast as Nathan Detroit in January of 2007, taking the role which is currently being played by fellow US performer Patrick Swayze.
Alex Ferns, best known for his role as Trevor in EastEnders, will feature as Detroit from December 4, replacing Swayze until Johnson arrives. Other cast members Samantha Janus, Amy Nuttall and Norman Bowman continue.
Guys and Dolls is running at the Piccadilly Theatre and is produced by Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and David Ian for Live Nation.
