Julianne Moore and Bill Nighy have been confirmed to star in David Hare’s latest play The Vertical Hour - the UK playwright’s first to premiere on Broadway.
Directed by Sam Mendes, the production will also feature Dan Bittner, Andrew Scott and Rutina Wesley and will open at the Music Box Theatre on November 30, following previews from November 9.
The play tells the story of an American woman - an acclaimed international television journalist and academic - who travels abroad and finds herself caught in an emotionally charged romantic triangle, pulled between the affections of her lover and lover’s father.
