Lloyd Pack to play Barbican’s first Dame

Only Fools and Horses and Vicar of Dibley star Roger Lloyd Pack is to play the Dame in the Barbican’s first pantomime, penned by Mark Ravenhill.

Lloyd Pack, who played Barty Crouch in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, will play Sarah the Cook in Dick Whittington and His Cat, opening on November 29.

He commented: “I’ve always wanted to play a Dame and when I read the script I knew that Sarah the Cook was the girl for me - it’s just such a great story with something for all the family.

“Also, it’s the only panto that’s set in London and that was part of the appeal, although we do sail to Morocco after the interval where I dance the Dance of the Seven Veils.”

The winner of several British Theatre Association Awards, Lloyd Pack most recently appeared on stage in The Winterling at the Royal Court and in Blue/Orange at Sheffield Crucible.
