A revamped version of sartorial favourite The Clothes Show, is returning to screens with original presenter Caryn Franklin, some 20 years after its debut on the BBC.
This time the show, which will also be presented by Louise Redknapp and Brendan Courtney, will be broadcast on the UKTV Style channel.
Shine Limited, in association with Giant Film & TV, has been commissioned to produce the new ten-show series, which sees the landmark magazine format refreshed and updated.
UKTV Style channel head Catherine Catton commented: “I wanted to introduce a fashion format to the channel and felt it was the perfect time to relaunch The Clothes Show. It’s the ultimate television fashion brand and one which can meet the challenge of delivering the latest trends, looks and styles from the catwalk and high street in an accessible and inspiring way for today’s audience. The original series was must see viewing for me so I’m delighted that UKTV Style is revamping the brand and bringing it back to Sunday teatime as part of the channel’s fashionable new look.”
It will feature a number of regular strands including the High Street Catwalk Challenge presented by Caryn Franklin alongside a panel of fashion editors, as well as hot high street buys, a Body Matters strand which shows people how to dress for their shape, celebrity wardrobe exposes and the season’s key trends. The series is scheduled for broadcast in October in its traditional teatime slot.
